Produced with one of the most excellent piedmontese red grape varieties, it is characterized by a ruby red color and amaranth shades that have inspired its name, being “Merlu” a piedmontese term referring to a typical, reddish-feathered bird. It has a rich bouquet with an abundance of blackberry and forest fruits notes. Broad on the palate: given its persistence and robustness, it is offset by a good balance of acidity.
